Not every pregnancy is accompanied by the joyful blessing of a child. Perhaps you also know a woman or a mother who has lost her long-awaited baby during pregnancy or after giving birth. If you do not know an affected family, it is not because they are not around you, but because these families are often left alone with their pain, misunderstanding, unacknowledged grief and communication taboo surrounding perinatal loss. This loss affects one in four women and their families. 

The Mothers’ Association has organized perinatal loss processing groups, under the leadership of a grief processing specialist, on several occasions due to the fact that grief around childbirth is often full of self-blame and the idea of “what if”. Dealing with it seems like a hopeless task for a mother. The grief associated with loss redraws the life of the entire family. 

Unfortunately, in most cases, it is not possible to say goodbye to the fetus with dignity, so it is necessary to have a place to remember them.
